Monday, October 31, 2005 ::: "heat of summer sunshine..." and it's not summer anymore. yet another year has passed. sky darkens sooner than I'd like it to and the scent of summer is gone. i've always believed each season carries its own scent. like you can always tell winter's coming by 1 sniff. no it's not some dumb cheesy metaphor - just go smell for yourself. a recent revisit to my CD collection Darren Hayes, Sugbabes, and gasp Ronan Keating(!) Girls Aloud (!) haven't popped them in my stereo for ages. And each song/album carries its own memory (once again it's not some dumb metaphor - i really mean it.) Ronan Keating didn't feel good. It was the start of med 1. Memories of MDL computer room. That's quite shit really. And oh, that endless abyss of mine that seemed like forever. Too vivid to even forget. I think I never will. But it's 1 fine album nonetheless. Although I used to hate it and regret it after buying it. I bought it because I thought a Ronan album couldn't go wrong - but I was not thrilled since it's packed with ballads and it certainly lacked surprises. It's always about the mood, really. Like how Darren Hayes' melancholy suddenly become irrelevant. maybe it's the recent complete lack of occasion. It's like when melancholy meets ambivalence... they just don't meet. Girls Aloud - an album with really cool songs but at the same time worst vocal recordings ever!!! Oh wait maybe Hilary Duff could beat them... but anyway they're really sounding different now. But Biology is sounding really cool. Can't wait for the release of Chemistry. Borrowed Heaven still sounds good. So is Taller in More Ways. Ace Reject is still ace. So is Red Dress. Xenomania are pop genius! Old Town/Heart Like A Wheel entered the UK chart at 68. yikes. And I still haven't got my copy. ::: posted by Wings at 10/31/2005 04:22:00 AM
